Proverbs 1: You are Saved When You Believe. What You Do With It Is Up To You

The bible always seems to be full of “if.. then type statements.” I love this and I hate it. I love it because my father wants a dynamic relationship with me and I get to participate in my continuing salvation. I hate it because I can’t just “get saved” and then go do what I want 😂. But who wants that anyway really. Sin always leads to sorrow in the end no matter how much fun it may be in the moment. I can rest in the reassurance that my God is a God of truth and always tells it like it is. He is always up front with me and let’s me know where I will stand.

“If you turn at my reproof; I will pour out my spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.” And “Because you have refused to listen.. you will call on me but I will not answer; seek me diligently but will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not chose fear of the Lord.”

How much more clear can it get? You are saved when you believe. What you do with it is up to you. “For the simple are killed by their turning away and the complacency of fools destroys them.; but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster”

Side note - it doesn’t say there won’t BE disaster - just that we won’t dread it!
