Jude pt2: Warning, Watch Out

There are people who are so intellectually arrogant and spiritually ignorant that they become blinded by Satan. Jude goes on to tell us that we must show mercy to them BUT do so with great caution as if they are contagious. “With fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.” Vs23.

We are not perfect. We are susceptible. People who are smart and charismatic and arrogant are a perfect storm to draw us in. So how do we remedy this and make sure we know what our God wants? Jude tells us in vs 20 “... build yourself up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.”

We now also have His word in the Bible which can guide us and give us instructions on how to guard us and live our lives. They had their letters passed around, we have them bound, God breathed words written for YOU. Don’t neglect them! Guard yourself - the enemy wants you to be distracted. Now may the grace of our Lord be with you. May your thoughts be on His grace and love. May you have peace and a hunger to seek His word. Amen
