Galatians 2: 11-16 Are you All In?

Either I am all in or I am not. I live in the south. Here it is easier to be do or die for ones football team than ones faith in Jesus Christ. There is no way you can convert someone from their college allegiance and believe it or not, there have been families torn apart over it. BUT Christ? That’s another story. And we do it under the cloak of love. We side step it and put away our morals and push aside what we know is right by saying that it’s ok as long as we are loving that Christian sinner and hating the sin they are happily living in. Paul stood up to the sin of hypocrisy that even Barnabas was committing in Galatians 2:13. He didn’t bend while still loving them. He didn’t say it was ok and bend over and hide his head. He stood up for what was right according to Christ. Let’s get this straight. We are not saved by what we do. But since we are saved, we are called to live according to the word of Christ and to repent when we don’t. It is by our actions that we show others that we are indeed saved and slaves to Christ. And when others of our brothers and sisters are led astray, we are to call them back with love, just as Paul pointed out their mistake - in love. We are NOT to put our head in the sand. “I said to Cephas before them all, ‘If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force Gentiles to live like Jews?’ “ (vs 14)

May we all go forward in the Holy Spirit being as bold as Paul.
