Exodus 13/14:What Do You Do When Satan Shows Up?

When God shows up, Satan won’t be far behind. He hates losing and will do whatever he needs to do to try to win you back, make you forget the greatness of God. We are human; we are weak. But this is what’s awesome. Exodus 14:14 tells us “The Lord will fight for you, and you only have to be silent.” Pharaoh realized he had just lost his workforce, coupled with grief and anger he went after them. Wouldn’t you be scared if you saw 600 chariots coming after you? I would. After all that God had just done, the Israelites were still scared, still doubted. Still cried out, “is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness?” They had just witnessed God bring down a whole nation and favor them above all - and still doubted the minute things looked bad. We roll our eyes at them . But really, we do the same thing. When things go bad what do we do? What do I do, you do? Do we call a friend and gripe? Turn on Netflix and check out? Drink, eat? Smoke, shop? The question really is this... do you turn to God? Really? If not, can I challenge you to this - turn to God. “The Lord will fight for you, and you only have to be silent.” He will show up, He loves you. He is a redeemer, protector, warrior, father. He died for you, why wouldn’t he cover you ? And may I remind you that when things don’t go your way, it may just be because He is doing something greater. Can you trust Him in ALL things? Can you try, at least turn to Him first? What did he do with the chariots? Well, he parted the sea and brought it down over them, crushing them never to be seen again. 😉
