And So The Work Begins
How was your Easter? I started by reading John 20-21. Jesus not only dies for us, many a martyr dies. Jesus rose from the boundaries of death, defeating the hold it has, and made a way for eternal life for us all. He then went one step further and gave us jobs to do! It would be enough that He loves us. It would be enough that he died for us. It would be more than enough that he rose again and gave us a path to heaven. But what a dream to be co-laborers in His creation. Vs 15-17 “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?’ ‘yes Lord you know that I love you!’ ‘Feed my lambs.’ He said to him a second time, ‘Simon, son of John, Do you love me?’ He said to him, ‘Yes Lord you know that I love you!’ He said to him, ‘Tend to my sheep.’ He said to him the third time, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me?’ Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time ‘Do you love me?’ And he said to Him ‘Lord you know that I love you. You know everything. Jesus said to him, feed my sheep.”
He has a job for you. He has a job for me. They may look very different but Mark my words, because he knows each of us so well, your job is perfectly suited to grow you closer to Him and to grow His kingdom.
Happy Easter - He is Risen! And because of that we have the amazing job of partnering in His Kingdom!
