1 John 2: Get Messy

Our faith, yours and mine, is an active faith. It is alive and full of motion and it breathes. It is not something we contemplate and leave on a shelf. Vs6, “whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked.”, vs 17, “and the world is passing away and it’s desires but whoever DOES the will of God abides forever.”

You cannot walk and stand still and you cannot sit still and DO the will of God. You must love, you must get out there and DO something. It is imperative that your relationship with Christ and others be alive and active. If you are uncertain as to the authenticity of our exclusivity, verse 23 tells us, “No one who denies the Son has the Father.” You simply don’t get heaven without Jesus and you don’t get salvation while sitting around thinking. Our faith is alive. Our faith is active. Go get messy and Live! Love! And Worship! He is worth it! Your salvation demands it!
